STOP expands and enhances overdose prevention and harm reduction services for minority individuals who have, or at risk of developing, substance use disorders. Callers are often referred to community programs and agencies as needed, and ongoing additional telephone support will also be provided to individuals and families/caregivers as needed. All MHALA programs staff — whether they are a mental health clinician or not — have training in providing a variety of mental health services to our members.
